I am a PhD candidate at Southern Cross University with research interests in natural and perturbed biogeochemical cycles at all scales, from the quantum to the earth-system as a whole. My current research is on drainage basin biogeochemistry and employs a combination of radionuclide and geochemical tracer techniques with hydrological modelling to quantify the emissions of greenhouse gases from inland waters, the influence of land-use change on biogenic gas production and consumption in estuaries, as well as investigating aquatic ecosystem resilience via analysis of storm-event driven streamwater gas flux anomaly. These works build on my previous studies in clinical medicine, sustainable agriculture, environmental resource management and ecology.
